alright, so i rented this game at blockbuster last week on monday. i went into the store and they were all out. then all of the sudden, bobby (thats what his name tag said) comes up to me and asks me if i have played this game. bobby said it was "badass" and i liked the previews on it so i rented it for playstation 2.

the godfather is one of the best ps2 games i have played ever. it has the freedom and structure of a GTA/Mafia type game. You take the GTA violence/brutality and mix it with the mafia storyline. The games content is pretty accurate to the movies so if u were into that check this out, but WARNING: THIS GAME IS HIGHLY ADDICTIVE! i beat the game in 4 days out of its 7 rental. the game takes a long time to beat and i spent 46.34 hours playing it in 4 days. i have never done such a thing like that before.it is an awesome game and if pace out your playing time youll enjoy the experience more. somethings in the game may frustrate you, but its all part of the game and learning to become a more experienced mobster.

the main purpose is to gain control of NYC which takes time, but its fun because you have to compete with the other 4 families for control of sections of NY.

anyways, ive heard nothing but good things about this game, its awesome! EA gets an A. However, the game does become a bit repetative, but its still a kick ass time...literally.


i recommend a buy over a rent because then u have time to enjoy and savor the game than lose all ur spring break time like me :lol:

Hell yea!! Steaky knows what he talkin about. Me and some friends played it! It bloody hell rocked! The audio is freakin amazin! If you got, turn the speakers to Dolby Surround and increase bass to about three fourths. DAMN! Ur in for a hell of an amazing experience. I didnt get tooo far into the game but whatever i saw was too freakin tight.

the audio was something also very impressive. the songs are from the movie soundtrack, but i didnt know if anyone cared about that.

That is not a long time to beat a game...

Dude, hell yea its fun! If someone like Steaky actually put time into writing a review for somethin, its gotta be amazing. (LOL) BUt seriously, this game rapes the GTA series. Its really worth the time and money!
