What not to do when you get a new HD..

Do not uninstall steam and then attempt to download it again. I just relized that its going to take forever and a day to download the updates/clients for cs1.6/CZ and Half-Life. I should have just copied the files and then uninstalled the files from the registry and then reinstalled. This sux btw, its been 4 hours and its only 80%..god help me. Im on a 3mb/1mb "Business" cable connection too..damn steam. Although ! I did remember to copy my custom configs/skins n stuff so i should be on a lil later tonight. Wish me luck.


btw i went from a 20gb 4500rpm 512k cache hd to a WD 80gb 7200rpm 8mb cache..WHAT A DIFFERENCE !!! Everything loads 30x faster..and games install in 2 mins or less ! (bf1942, quake, rtcw) and the load times...god like..
