A CZ75 with a Kadet kit is a good investment. It's still gonna cost you around $800 though.

My first rifle was a Ruger 10/22. My second rifle was a Ruger 10/22.

The first gun i owned is my Yugo SKS, which was completely random. Step-dad bought it for giggles, brought it home, cleaned it, talked about it a lot, and never fired it. It ended up somehow just becoming mine over the years and I still have it, even now. I learned to shoot on a ruger .22 pistol (that I can't even find the name of) and a marlin model 60 rifle (another .22). My first pistol was a Sig in .40. I still have it. I still keep it around, just in case, but if I always kinda wished I'd gone with a 9mm, or even a .22 for more practice opportunities.

Ruger 10/22's are awesome. I ended up getting a Marlin Model 60 mostly because I'd learned to shoot on it and it had a nostalgia appeal. I do wish it could use magazines and clips like the 10/22, however.

Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_33 Should've never sold it! That's a cool little gun!

Probably a Mark 1, Mark 2, Mark 3, or 22/45.

Ah I know what the problem was. That was so long ago. I keep thinking the p85 we usually shot with it was the .22. It was a Ruger Mark something or other. Thanks for the jog, Gman.

No problem. On another note, have you been to the CheaperThanDirt retail store north of FW? I'm thinking about paying it a visit the next time I'm up near there and wanted to know if it was worth a shit.

Yeh. I used to go sometimes when I'd go up to Cabela's, but I never do anything but look. A lot of their stuff is really over-priced compared to gun shows... which, as you'd know being a Texan, happen all the time. If you're in the area, go have a look.. but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
