He climbed a fence in their backyard and broke thorough a window on the second floor. My grandfather was in military most of his young life. He is an avid gun collector, hunter, and shooter. He makes his own bullets and the whole 9 yards. The guy went running down the hallway towards his bedroom looking for quick cash, when my grandfather turned the corner with his pistol drawn. No, he didn't F*CKING shoot the guy. The guy shit bricks because he didn't want to die. He locked himself in the bathroom (Which unlucky for him contained no windows). My grandfather waited outside the door with his gun drawn until the police showed up. My grandfather and I go to the gun range very often shooting a variety of different weapons. He was in every right prepared to shoot this person who invaded his personal space. But he didn't. Living with killing someone isn't something I could ever imagine doing. But it would be a last resort decision if my life was on the line. No one wants to live with someones blood on their hands. But the sad part is: some of you probably could.
How are we pussies? Because we suggested alternatives to guns? Might be hard to believe that guns aren't always the answer for some of you. If a thief broke into your house, and you have a pistol loaded; which is qualified to shoot blanks it can be as effective as a real gun when someone is looking to hit your house for quick cash. He never F*CKING said "OMG EVERY GUN KAN SHOOTS THE BLANKS." You assumed shit and because you assumed shit you then assumed shit about his knowledge about guns. Where the F*CK did he say give the troops blanks? No where, that is not even on the same F*CKING scale as to what we are talking about. Every single F*CKING thread having to do with guns automatically has to do with the government taking our rights and the Taliban.
How much does you bringing in the Taliban to this thread contribute? A hell of a lot less than Honestly's suggestions.
So you guys can stock pile your F*CKING Semi-automatic assault rifles and build your doomsday bunkers for when the government takes over because they are in cooperation with the Taliban who has ties to Barack Osama because his skin color isn't the F*CKING same as yours and because he is already preparing american troops to kill innocent people because they bought bullets and targets and those troops get funding from the Anti-Christ also the Anti-Christ is every person who suggests something other than a gun as a solution to a math problem also look out for the cartel they fit in here somewhere.
Edited my bitchfit. Thank you for your story. However, you've just demonstrated that for most people, the vast majority of the time, you'll never actually have to shoot anyone. You've also shown that a firearm is an excellent deterrent. For me, this shows that it is indeed a good idea to have a firearm for defense in the home. Who knows what some junky would do to an unarmed Grandpa and Grandma, but put a gun in Grandpa's hand, and the tables are turned very quickly. Firearms are the great equalizer. They make the weak capable of defending against the strong or the many. If you don't want a gun, that's fine, then don't buy one. But, lines are crossed when gun owners are demonized and people who are scared of guns try and take rights away. That I won't stand for. By the way, "semi-auto assault rifle" is an oxymoron. There's no such thing as a "semi-auto 'assault' rifle." "Assault" rifles are select fire, with burst fire and/or full-auto capability. If it's semi-auto, just because it takes a magazine, or is black, doesn't suddenly make it an "assault" rifle. That kind of bullshit is F*CKING left-wing propaganda.

For the last time, there is no such thing as an "assault rifle" they are all just rifles.....there is no "hunting rifle" or "assault rifle" its just a rifle....and what you do with it is up to you!

 Re: Break ins and guns.
Sorry, gotta say this. Don't be offended because i'm taking no sides in this argument. If you want guns, buy as many as you want, if you don't then don't. That's cool too. I've noticed something about all these Gun threads.. They always involve people defending their Second Amendment rights(How dare you try and take my guns. I know my rights.) But at the same time at one point or another in every one of these threads I see the one comment that comes in many forms. "If you don't have sufficient knowledge about guns don't answer questions about guns." OR " How dare you try to take my rights away, I will do as I please with my guns, and you don't have the right to push your beliefs upon me."
So, what i'm wondering is...Why are people so quick to defend one constitutional right, and at the same time, try to take someone elses away? Please don't come back by bashing me. I just notice this every time, and i'm trying to see it from both angles. That's all.

 Re: Break ins and guns.
Take a look at Mexico. 100% gun ban on all citizens, look how corrupt the government is, and look who runs the country...Drug cartels. "If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns."
Gun control leads to inevitable corruption, it's been shown countless times in history.

I'm not sure who said, "I'll do as I please with my guns." Pretty sure no one did. What rights are you referring to when you say, "Why are people so quick to defend one constitutional right, and at the same time, try to take someone elses away?" We're talking about guns, so obviously the 2nd Amendment, but what's the other one? Free speech? I don't think saying people who are ignorant about guns and who don't know what they're talking about should STFU about guns because they're spreading falsehood is the same as actually being in favor of passing laws that actually take you rights away. Telling someone to STFU because they don't know what they're talking about isn't rallying against the 1st Amendment. Why? Is that the impression you got? From who?

 Re: Break ins and guns.
well when it comes to firearms misinformation can get some one killed also you look like an idiot when you talk shit about a subject you know nothing about for instance i dont go around giving my opinion on computer related shit because i dont know shit about it.also when you advocate restricting or taking firearms you are advocating infringing on or out right taking a right away and in a discussion about what firearm is best for a situation no one wants to here this bullshit over and over you dont need that right any more or guns are unnecessary butting into a conversation.everyday us gun nuts get to here misinformation about guns being drilled into this generation turning them away from the very thing that can ensure the rest of their rights.if you think you would feel bad about killing an intruder in your home how would feel if that person raped and or murdered your family member try living with that guilt that you could have stopped it if you had a firearm or atleast had a chance.ill keep my so called semi auto assault riffles if for no other reason so i can keep my hunting riffles and pistols.you act as if some one who clings to his rights makes them a nut job well so be it i must be totally insane.edited

It's funny that text on a screen is considered "flipping out." I'm just sitting here, listening to some music, reading, and doing a little typing. That's hardly flipping out. I think I'm gonna make an internet purchase for some t-shirts, since I got a coupon code for 25% off. Awesomeness: http://www.1791apparel.com/collections/ ... /take-this http://www.1791apparel.com/collections/ ... of-liberty

 Re: Break ins and guns.
First i'de like to say no Slayer, I wasn't specifically targeting you. These comment have been made by various unnamed people. So i'm not targeting anyone in particular with these comments. Natural Stoner wrote: I'm not sure who said, "I'll do as I please with my guns." Pretty sure no one did.

Ya, i'm referring to mostly every thread that has to do with guns here. The "I do as I please" thing wasn't actually a quote. It just came to mind and seemed to fit. lol. People tend to erupt into these bashing competitions over their beliefs and flame everyone. Even if someone just expressed their simple opinion and brought no hostility. I was referring to Free Speech, yes. Wasn't saying that people rally against it, just saying i've seen the "You don't have the right to push your beliefs upon me" comment before and i'm wondering why they don't have the right to express an opinion. It does no harm. I mean, I understand being F*CKING pissed when people are pushing for gun bans and you actually stand the chance of real laws being enforced against something you're so passionate about. But I just don't understand the flaming when it comes to an opinion about firearms. Just a kind, well thought out response stating your beliefs and maybe supporting evidence seems sufficient to me. I think a well informed post is more likely to have someone rethink their opinion than flaming. If anything flaming will make them think "Well F*CK that guy, he doesn't deserve those guns!" dabadguy wrote: Caniboid.....Who in here is saying anything about taking peoples rights??? I'm a former owner of a Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22. Just decided I had a lot of other things going on in life and that it wasn't for me so I decided to sell it. But you all have the right to your firearms and I don't believe that they should be taken from you. Not taking rights away per say. But telling people not to comment on things they aren't as knowledgeable about. But on the other hand, I have also read through every post in this thread and no one has said you can't use your guns. The only thing anyone mentioned in this particular thread was that a gun would not have changed the outcome.

 Re: Break ins and guns.
well canibiod i have given evidence against banning any type of firearm i gave a link to a government web site with stats that prove you are way more likely to be killed with a hammer or kitchen knife then a firearm but that continually gets ignored .i understand that there are alot of people who think the constitution is nothing more then a piece of old paper but with out it we as a nation do not exist if you or anyone else thinks you can take part of it away for me or others then yes expect us to get very upset about it very upset.thats why we have this section in our forums.

I've seen that stat, too, Slayer. Doesn't mean it's a true stat. It could be fabricated, like you gun nuts seem to think some of the stuff going on now, that I see on Federal and Government websites, is fabricated.
