Its not only piracy and torrents, its anything the government deems worthy of censoring is how it will pan out. It will be the end of the internet as we know it and more like the Chinese internet that is under a stranglehold.



It'll be very similar to Chinese internet except that the United States presently is still a country where the internet is free-flowing. It'll take a while before it gets as bad.

There has definitely been a victory in the war against SOPA (more info here as well), but the war isn't over yet. PIPA is still in the works as well, and I believe it's being presented as the less evil cousin of SOPA (which it's not). So PIPA has to go, too. Detain us indefinitely, but don't you DARE F*CK WITH OUR INTERNETZ.
