Exactly and those elitists aren't going to just walk away from what they've built and the American population is not going to stand up to them. American politicians have an unseen, very complicated back room system which comes across publicly as them disagreeing with each other and of course on some issues they do but for the most part their two sides of the same coin working in conjunction with each other to take care of themselves. When a new person comes in with idealistic ways they get greeted by all this crap and they can either go along with it and try to get what they can out of it or they get buried by it. After awhile even the most idealistic people give way eventually.

Your beliefs are very idealistic but not very realistic. Your best bet is to do what's best for yourself and those you care about and be happy that the elitists are primarily concerned with the status quo in a truly bi-partisan effort to retain their own power, wealth, and privileges.
