WOW, very beautiful words to talk about how you feel for your wife and mother of your children, i wish i could express that way to someone in the future yet again that´s not the reason im doing this post, the reason is to support the cause and let you know that even do i dont know you very well, im with you, i ain´t a religious person yet i played for your wife´s health and wellbeing.
Take care and dont worry shes gona be alright. Trust me, Hope is the last thing we have to abandon.

Can't do much but hope. Because hope and prayer are the answers we seek.

I'm not religious
But the Dane will be keeping your wife and your family in mind, and hope everything works out.

Update on Missus C.
I called Cap'n C to see what the deal was (and for hawt phone sex, of course.) She's doin' better. They changed her condition from 'Critical' to 'Serious'. She's no longer in ICU but still under strict supervision. Shes slowly kickin' ass and takin' names. >:)
She had succumbed to 4 serious and normally fatal diseases that originated from her spine.
But those of you that know Missus C, you know shes a straight G. She's already defeated one of these diseases and slowly pounding the rest of them to hell. She's making progress. Which is good in anyones book.
Bottom line is, it's lookin' good. Keep those prayers comin'

hello everyone.
now, on a serious note: cory linked me to the thread just a few minutes ago and, after reading all of it (your story included, corpse), i completely know what you are going through. about a year ago in november my mother suffered something very similiar. literally, her entire body went into shut down. she had what looked like a seizure, and within about a 5 minute period, turned into something that looked more like a heart attack and a stroke combined. she had neither of the three things, and her symptoms were even worse.
after i called the ambulance (keep in mind, i just watched her slowly shut down for about 2 minutes) we made it to the hospital in about 2 minutes (literally) and she went straight into ICU. everything was calm and fine for about an hour, and she had what looked like another seizure, except it lasted for almost an hour. she couldn't move, everything in her body was completely locked up, and she could barely breathe. she wasn't responding to any of the medication and there were about three instances when they thought they were going to lose her. finally, they intubated her. her blood pressure was so low she might as well of been dead, her protein/iron/potassium levels were fatally low, and her cell counts were so off that they looked like the '29 stock market.
three weeks in a medically induced coma in ICU, two trips to UCLA's Neurology department by MedJet, and over two months later: we brought her home. she went from being in a coma, to a practically vegetative state, to being somewhat functioning , to back to almost perfect health in about 5 months time. dozens of doctors, tons of neurology wards and clinics later, they still had no clue what happened to her. they undiagnosed her M.S. they thought she had, and they had no real way to even remotely tie anything together.
and just about 4 months ago, it happened again. but now she started having severe seizures, panic attacks, and uncontrollable neurology effects. two trips to UCLA, again, and we had everything resolved.
long story short: i know what it's like, and it's definitely the hardest thing in the world for any person to go through. watching someone suffer from something you can't control is one of the hardest things to endure, especially if it's your mother (or in your case, your wife). it's funny, though. when something like this happens, it changes your whole perspective on the world. you watch everyone else around you go about their daily lives, completely oblivious to your situation, as their world keeps spinning. meanwhile, yours is completely halted.
you have a lot to be fortunate for (and so did i), you have the financial backing, the support of two kids and your family, and an entire community of people praying for you. they know what happened and were able to diagnose everything. getting through the rest is just about prayer, faith, and recovery.
god bless.
