I think it's time to get some flat screens, but I hear they don't work as well for gaming. I heard they came out with a new 12MS refresh or something like that, that works pretty well. Any suggestions? :?

omg how do you play with your mouse on the desk and the keyboard below it??
anyway... they even have some 4ms lcd's if you really want it... and i wouldnt go with the 12, but definitely the 8ms....
For me the biggest problem for lcd is the resolution... the bigger the screen the higher the default resolution. That means if you go to a 24" lcd... you're gonna have to have some serious graphics card power to push that resolution.
CRT monitors have the advantage of working at all resolutions equally well with minimal loss in clarity and color.
I'm looking forward to getting a 40" LCD or plasma TV with a native resolution around 1280 or so... that way the graphics card isn't having to push some insane resolution for gaming. But as far as lcd and plasma screens go... they're seriously dropping in price... Panasonic or samsung is suppose to release the first sub $1000 40" plasma screen sometime fourth quarter of this year. It's suppose to be some milestone. Anyway, expect prices of lcd and plasma screens to plummet this year and next. The technology is continuing to mature and get better...
As of right now, CRT's still are better for gaming... just due to the fact you can play at any resolution. As well as color replication and viewing angles.
However, LCD is quickly cathing up... and I wouldnt be surprised if by next year LCD will surpass CRT in every aspect.
But if i were you i'd hold on to your money... at least until xmas...
Right now is not the time to buy lcd or plasma... the prices are dropping too fast and newer models are just around teh corner.

Hey Super, we have the same exact desk. I have to warn you though, the keyboard rollout will break if you ever try to stuff a chick under it! 8)

Stash of what Durango, the way your set up it must be 2 kilos of Coke,
and not the one you drink. LOL
Very nice D, I'm jealous.
I just bought a Hyundai 19" monitor, 8ms response time, for $329.00.
It's awesome, and it's got great brightness and contrast.
