You can find some that people have refurbished and selling. Depends what your price range is though, and you have the ability to bargain with the price seeing its a personal sale, but there are some things you should look into if you do choose to find 1 particular car thats nice.

-Research its background for all known problems with that car
-Bring someone along for a second opinion or someone that knows the car
-If you have a mechanic friend, Bring him along too! lol
-Make a check list of all the known found problems with that years model and go through the car your looking at and check them all off yes or no for the problems

Than go to www.kbb.com and judging on what condition you think the car is in based off everything you have researched and found, grade the car on that website, than it will give you a rough estimate on what the car is worth. Now depending on how rare the car is really depends on the price after its been refurbished, if not bargain the F*CK out of the price either way.

well actually i dont want a car that is in showroom condition, the goal of buying a old car for my father and i is to bring it back to an awesome condition, see what i mean? we just want to find a car that is 20,000$ or less to be able to work a lil bit on it. the only thing we want is that we could still drive it, and it wouldnt be all rusted or worst.

You can EASILY find a old american muscle car like you want for Under 10 grand Lecoq haha, I see them on craigs ALL the time. Go to Craigs list, find where ever you live and search in cars, you will find shitloads of old american muscle. One you can work on, Ive actually been looking for a old Nissan 280zx Turbo to work on, shit moves and looks so nice after its been cleaned up. But If your looking for a project car, www.craigslist.com is THE BEST imo

really sweet sound, its a hatchback, but still, im driving an AWD in a perfect condition (no scratch or broken parts) and we actually have a LOT of snow over here!!! (having lots of fun too :P ) + it sounds like a subaru ;) so it sounds like it still has an engine in it, im planing to put a p-flow on august or a new muffler, would sound a way better, + ill buy mags on mid-march ;) got my new set of summer tires, love my car

but yeah im trying to find a muscle car for my father to work on it + im saving money to buy 1 to work it up too, after college ill take car mechanic courses and im planing to work on a nova SS just like my father used to have when he was younger (he got a car crash with it D': )

actualy i was suprised at the amount of classic cars here in hawaii.

ran into a 69 Plymoth Satalite being sold for 800 bucks about a year ago, and they keep popping up on craigs list here in hawaii. from about the 80s and on, the japanese culture consumed hawaii so you see alot of jap made beaner-racers but there are alot of pre-war cars here. If your pappy dont mind the shipping cost, you could probably find a really good project car here in hawaii.

dude, stop thinking about salt everywhere just like you said a couple posts ago... good ppl keep their car clean enough to take care of this lil prob... yes here in quebec, our cars get rusted cuz of the salt, but if you can take care of your car just lil bit, it will stay clean.
