From my knowledge 7.1 is impossible and there are still some the question the validity of "5.1 headsets" if it technically 5.1 and shit there was a previous argument about headsets and shit before a good 6 months ago about this.

yea, i didnt think 7.1 would happen on a headset, but in the last 6 months ive read stuff about 5.1 headsets improving. idfc tho, as long as it works ok, im good

the cord for the WRONG siberia they sent me seems really durable. once i get the correct headset i'll let you know what i think. but yeah, the xbox combatibility is what sold me too. plus, the band on my head annoys the shit out of me, so neckband seems sweet, and they aren't nerdy looking.

The software that comes with it is a bit more necessary....

I checked the FAQs and they're in development for a 7 driver....be again, their software is necessary for making sure your working on all speakers and shit and the eq and stuff.

well what they do is use software to adjust the sound volume and speaker being used depending on the direction in game the sound is coming from.... Think of it being like a ventriloquist or something.

Yeah, even tho you can not technically surround your head with sound.... the human brain is easily fooled. it might as well be surround sound. but yeah 5.1 7.1 refers to amount of speakers.....no matter what headphones are 2.0.

not from what the specs say, these headphones have multiple speakers (more than 2)

You strongly implied that they were surround sound when you quoted him saying that they weren't 5.1 or 7.1 by saying that the specs said something different and that it had 8 speakers. I'm not sure if you know or not, but the majority of surround sound systems that cost more than $40 have at least 2 speakers per box or more.
