If you haven't canceled out Honda yet, and and don't mind/like driving a stick shift, than a 4 door Civic SI might be an option for you. When i was searching for one, I remember base models starting at around 21-22 thousand. It's what I have (a coupe though) and i'm loving it

eh honestly the only Caliber worth a shit is the srt-4 and it still has issues

For the same money you should get this

http://www.hyundaigenesis.com/

coupe or sedan doesnt matter the reason I say this is because it seems you keep cars for a long time and the Hyundai will hold its value and cost lest in repairs than the dodge cars also the v6 coupe is totaly bad ass and the sedan is F*CKING PLUSH like BMW PLUSH for the same money as the dodge..

They also have a 4 banger with a turbo which i have driven and it is bad ass as well.

Hyundai has come a long F*CKING way and when i trade in my GTO it will be for the Genesis

Yeah...my sister has a Hyundai, and she seems to like it. I've thought about getting one...to be honest, I've thought about getting too many different types of cars...don't really have one picked out yet, and I'm driving home to WA tomorrow for three weeks. When I come back down to CA (for another six weeks), I want to have a new car (not sure if I want a NEW new car, or a used car yet....don't really have money or good enough credit for a new 20,000 car....) for the trip down and the trip back up at the end of October. Oh, and, Gman, I looked at the Versa...looks nice...I've added one of those into the mix of ones that I'm thinking of now. For a cheaper new car, I'm thinking about either one of those, or the new Kia Forte. Looked at getting another Honda...too expensive. My price-range is probably below 20,000.

You can get one with cruise/electric everything/automatic transmission with an extended warranty for under 15k out the door if you play your cards right.

And dude, seriously. I love this F*CKING car. The seats are nice and comfortable, and it doesn't feel like you're driving a japanese shitbox with wheels. Go testdrive one. You'll love it. I promise.

I gotta back Gman up on this one.

I'm pretty tall and pretty fat and the Versa is still really comfortable. I have to lean the seat back a bit so I'm not hunched over, but even then, it's a nice smooth ride.

Look into the Nissan Versa. It's what I drive, and I love it. It's fuel efficient, and has enough room for me and AngryKitten + 3 other people.

Also, 6speed transmission FTW.

Angry IS 3 other people... Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_28

Oh and get the Camaro FTW! Gas is just gonna get cheaper now that everything is shifting to electric/hybrid.

The 1JZ-GTE was with two turbo chargers, not one.

It main different than 2JZ-GTE was it is 2.5L, and 2JZ is 3L.

n00b.

But I say get Hyundai car, or KIA. Both own by Hyundai corporation. Do not get Ssangyong, too many trouble.

Nissan Versa is Gman car is very good, but, for same money, Korea car is better value for money.

Or maybe you get Nissan Cube!

I'm going to have to at least test drive one of these when I get back to WA (in OR tonight...back home tomorrow night, for three weeks). I'm going to be test driving a shit-ton of cars before I finally make a choice, I think. Like I said, I'm hoping to have a new car by the time I have to make this thousand mile drive back down to Lemoore around the 19th of the month....

Totally agree with dirtbag, get a car that wont leave you stranded and you'll still be able to
take to the dealer for servicing 3 years from now, unlike said Chrysler-Dodge...

I have a honda civic as well 02 lx coupe with 101k miles and just recently did timing belt and water pump as
preventive maintenace. Still couldve gone another 30k miles on belt and pump probably.

You were pushing your luck with that belt. I just saw that same exact car throw one at 100k and basically destroy the engine. There is absolutely no reason for them to still be using belts instead of chains.
