I don't mean to be mean or rude, but it is crazy to swim in the Ganges. There are around 3000 dead bodies found every year. Its a crazy Hindu landmark and it it full of shit. It is extremely dirty. Also, try to go to Agra (Taj Mahal) and Bombay. I know New Delhi very well. Its a pretty chill place.

It's Indian religion to pour the ash of your relatives when you die..in the Ganges river..

But if that doesn't bother you, than go ahead!

there is no indian religion, it's home to a wide variety of religions. That's why a lot of the older indians, like my ex's dad, have a mark in between there thumb and forefinger to signify what religion they are so they can be buried properly.

don't get with any truck drivers. the AIDS is strong with them!!!

Your ping should be fine now :) Banglore is right next to Kerala, where I lived for a long time, and I remember playing CS for the first time 10 years ago on my 33.6K modem which was capped to 14.4K, and not lasting 5 seconds in any server.

Indeed. There are many Portuguese who migrated to India (mainly in Kerala and Goa), many Israeli descendants (there're some old Jewish temples in Kerala), and Christianity began with the arrival of St. Thomas the apostle (around 100 AD)followed by Dominican and Franciscan monks. Hinduism went through several stages throughout the years (starting around 2000 BC). Buddhism originated in India with Siddartha, who later came to be known as Goutama Buddha, although it is more popular in Nepal, China and Japan now. Islam made its way during the 7th century AD, and there are several less known religions as well. Basically Indian religion = a mixture of hundreds.

Update:

The hotel I'm staying in at Plano Texas before leaving for India is kick ass. Free internet, 42-in Plasma, Comp Shuttle service and lots more.

http://www.starwoodhotels.com/alofthote ... rtyID=3155

Apparently Infosys owns the hotel or something and gets the rooms at a huge discount. The room I'm staying in typically costs $300 a night Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_23

Also, my boss is kick ass, took us out to dinner and more Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_02

THEY LIED TO ME!!

We get to India.

No Internet Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_32
No AC Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_37
No Hot Water Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_23

Well, the last point got fixed but still, we were promised the first two when we signed up for this. The HR people said they are working on it, but who knows when it will be fixed.

The only internet we MIGHT be able to get outside of the netcafe that I'm writing this in is through the cellphone networks.

Anyways, the campus is really beautiful, if you can ignore the watchtowers and guards with AK-47's outside.

LOL welcome to the non-sheltered world.

Send me an AK if you can get one. I'll pay you for it.

Wow...sounds like you got majorly ripped off. Unfortunately (from experience), promises there are only meant to be broken. And why are there armed guards?
