Ive been looking at this one pretty hard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6824001225
I want a widescreen but alot of games dont support those funky resolutions. Aleast with this one i can go back to gaming at 1600*1200.And pretty much every samsung I've saw reviewed gets good marks.

as of now, i'm playing on my ghetto ass 15 inch screen made by those wonderful people down at compaq.

I wouldn't mind a 20' flatscreen. Yeah, that would be F*CKING pimp-tastic.

Super,

I'd be wary about purchasing a large Samsung LCD... there have been several reports of input latency associated with anything 20" and larger... I've witnessed it myself with my experiement with my 32" Samsung LCD with a supposedly 6ms response time. Yes there was little ghosting, but motion blur and input lag was horrendous. Just do a search with Samsung or PVA and input lag... you'll see a bunch of reports in forums and articles detailing the problem. Samsung uses a s-pva panel... and the also sell their panels to other manufacturer's so be careful... before you purchase any LCD see what type of LCD panel they're using. Currently, TN panels are quick, but their color accuracy and intensity is lacking (6bit). S-MVA panels are alright... S-ips panels are probably the best right now... as long as you get a panel supporting low response times... s-ips have the best color reproduction and best viewable angle. NEC and phillips both use S-ips panels.
Just as a side note... higher refresh rates on LCDs decrease the input lag... you'll actually see more responsiveness in your controls with higher refresh rates (75hz or higher being ideal).
