I just spent 3 days w/o power because of Katrina. Other than that we were very lucky. I hope you folks in LA, MS, AL, and areas nearby, are as fortunate as we were down here in S. FL. That bitch has come and gone here in Pensacola. Most people dont have power...and i'm VERY surprised i do, actually. usually we spend about a few days without power. but our house actually got power back on the first day. so yeah....just pray for everyone else, though. i've been watching the news now, and anywhere from new orleans to gulf shores got fucked up. hopefully all the n00bs in those areas are fine.

only an hour? damn you. my power went out about 545 in the morning...didnt get it back until around 530 in the evening. but oh well...we had all our windows opened to air it out with all the wind. lol. it was an experience, though...i'll tell you that much.

Two levees have broken and according to the Drudge Report, an attemp to fix them failed. Also, water mains have broken and thus the water in the city is now contaminated, so they are trying to evacuate the entire city. Apparently Navy and Marine rescue crews are being deployed, and martial law has been imposed on two parishes.
