Ive been using Earbuds to play. They were a means to an end.... What are some good headsets? Bear in mind Ima broke bitch since the majors let me go.

I suggest Turtle Beach, Sennheiser, or Plantronics. I avoid Logitech at all costs because I've had too much of their crap break on me, but that's just my personal experience.

p.s. kenny go with gman's suggestions. another option is just to go to the store and but a cheap $20 set. they last pretty long, but not great quality

Dont be A Toe-Head

I wouldn't recommend the Sennheisers for gaming. I use speakers for gaming right now because I've started to get headaches when I use headphones, the Sennheiser HD series is excellent for movies and music. When it comes to games, headphones by Turtle Beach, Plantronics, Medusa, Triton etc. are so much better. I've compared a few of them with the Sennheiser HD555 which I used to use all the time when playing CS, and the positional audio was amazing on everything except the Senn. You don't need high end 5.1 models. The entry level models have really good positional audio which you will appreciate a lot. All I will tell you is that if you can, go and test some of those models and choose what feels right to you.

Turtle beach is pretty good for the price. The z1's should be descent

The Plantronics GameCom 367 is the headset that I have. I loveee it. Very comfy and sounds amazing, though not as bassy as earbuds are going to be. However, earbuds are uncomfortable as F*CK.

Sennheisers are definitely awesome for non-gaming purposes. Plantronics and Turtle Beach have been the de-facto standard for gaming.

Yeah, they're a bit more than decent, though. I think they're excellent. Mine might be the older version of the 367 because mine looks identical to that link's, but mine has velvet fabric on the ears and head instead of that mesh fabric. Velvet is more comfortable, methinks.
