Fisrt, that's Disneyland. Pink3y and I live in Florida.

Now in chronological order:

#6 - Very true, but long before either of our times with the company. Many people did catch scabies, lice, crabs, and many other things that are too gross to mention even here.

#5 - Again, true. The not so family friendly version can be found here http://www.flashmountain.net/. What really sucks is that it wasn't just splash mountain. It's almost any place that people think they can get away with it. But the same thing happens at all parks, not just Disney.

#4 - Hadn't heard about that one. Have to ask around. Wouldn't surprise me though, you wouldn't believe the amount of D-freaks that are out there. These people are literally OBSESSED with all things Disney. There is even a girl who has Legally Changed her name to "Cinderella Skywalker". She has no job (that anyone who knows about her can discern), and she is at the parks here in Florida 5 days a week. It is so bad that some shows are notified that "C.S." is in the house.

#3 - Kind of True. There are SOME stray cats around the parks. Usually they are escapees from the kennels that are at every park. If/When they are caught, they are turned over to Disney's version of animal control. We all assume that they just grind them up and put them in the burgers, why else would they cost $12 a piece.

#2 - Who cares, that was 40 years ago.

#1 - Who cares. Just more people in the parks for 1 day per year. 1 out of 365 days does not make Disney gay. Hell, if you've ever seen a penis that wasn't your own makes you at least 1/365th gay. But yeah, there are a lot of gay people that work here. It's the same in any type of entertainment (movies, theater, TV, whatever).

#6: No communal underwear. That was OVER 10 years ago they quit that, the article was inaccurate, it was I think the mid 90s when that stopped. This was only in the Entertainment Department. We became unionized (I'm a Teamster, Local 386) and our contracts put a stop to that. We have what we call "basics", which are the Tshirts and shorts/sweats we wear under costumes, and we go thru like, 8-10 pairs per day when it's hot. These are washed daily. There are occasional problems with scabies, but if scabies are found, it's usually in a breakroom, which is then closed and fumigated while any affected cast members are sent to Health Services, our own medical facility where the company pays to treat them. It's never happened to me or anyone I know personally.

#5 Well, if you flash the cameras on the rides, you are promptly ejected and banned from the parks if they catch you. Employees are fired. You think you only see boobs on rides? Try being a Character Performer. I get boobs shoved in my character's face ALL DAY. It's boring, and even the guys get to think that way, as most are huge fat gross sweaty foreign smelly women.

#4 I've heard of that, but it's probably only an urban legend...the surveillance is insane. You also don't want to hook up on a ride...we have infared cameras and they will STOP THE RIDE and kick you out of the park and possibly prosecute you. If you want to hook up, use a communal bathroom, you know, the ones where you "help out" a person with a a disabililty. They aren't allowed to ask why two people are going in due to the Americans With Disabilities Act, invasion of privacy, so you are pretty safe there! And no, I haven't done this. It's on my list. ;)

#3 A few stray cats in the parks, but as Gr33ny said, probably escapees from the kennel or people dump them. We have one that lives in the parking lot named Creamsicle, he's orange and white. I HIGHLY doubt they carry rabies, and they are fed by the employees. Most of animal control picks up things like cottonmouths, which invade regularly from the swamps. ICK.

#2 What Gr33n said. DISNEYLAND. And who cares...anyway, if there was a riot, Orange County would be all up in their stuff and it would be stopped before it could start. Those were the days before there was a police presence in the parks. Now there are both undercover and uniformed cops in every park just so they can handle criminal stuff.

#1 Gay Days most certainly DOES exist, and up until last year, Disney World threw a giant party called One Mighty Party especially to promote it. ALL entertainment places traditionally have lots of gays, and Disney is a gay friendly company. In my dept, the saying is, "Gay until proven straight!" LOL...The girls hate it, cause the guys are either gay or players. Just make sure that you don't wear a red shirt on Gay Day...that's the "secret code" if you are gay. You could end up with unwanted attention!

Don't get me wrong, I really don't like my job, esp after almost a decade there. However, I also hate urban myths, it's just a pain having to go thru all of the shit all of the time when people bring this stuff up. Like the "fact" that we have fans or a/c in our costumes. People, our cooling system is the same as yours: We SWEAT. A LOT. And get lots of heat exhaustion. It's a tough job, we aren't treated very well by the company...thank God we are unionized or they would REALLY screw us...but it's probably the most secure job I've ever held and until the job market gets better, I will continue to work there. And get smacked in the face by huge sweaty ugly tits and armpits on a daily basis. LOL.

What has age got to do with going to Disney World? Or gaming? Or having fun? I spent my younger days working my butt off to help out my family and pay for school and college, so that I could start enjoying life once I got a break, and do some things that I never had the chance to do before. i went to DW once and i thought the water parks were better than the actual theme parks, its a place for kids , the rides are few and far between and its basically just one giant shopping mall
