 n00bfest is Moving and We Need Your Help!!!!!Well as our previous announcement indicated that we are moving the servers onto a private dedicated server box.
Phase 1 has been completed the new server is up and running and we need you guys to test it. Server IP: 66.135.40.174:27015 This server is a exact clone of the current server. Everything should be the same as the main server. So if you guys see it empty go into the main and get people to join that one so we can find all the little bugs (if any) and fix them. Let's make sure that as few people as possible play in that server as little as possible. It's a huge help to testing the stability if we never hit 32 people in it at once.

In less than a week we will be making a transition to the new server 100%.
We need feedback on performance issues prior to the conversion because the existing Gameservers account will be DEAD and this action cannot be reversed. Test it and let us know if it needs changes before we all get stuck living with it full time. I expect it will not disappoint people, but full load testing would be a much better test of the server than just trusting the specs. _________________  |

i will be on tonight and will report any findings.
*EDIT: i played on it for a couple hours and everything ran very smooth. registry is far superior to the gameservers server. maybe we can try running it at 100 tick to see if there are any issues there. _________________  Last edited by -Purple- on Sat May 30, 2009 10:47 am, edited 1 time in total. |

It's just fine as the other one, except my ping is about 10 higher than it is on the old one, but that is no matter anymore.....in 15 days I move back to the states.

Yeah, my ping is higher on this one than the other one. Not enough to make a difference though. That and I get no choke on the new one, as opposed to the old one. |

Same here my ping is much higher on the new server also when the server is changing maps and it's finding the server info it locks up on me and i have to restart my computer any ideas why it's doing that? It never did that on the old server.
