 How the F*CK do you solve this.
Solutions of sulfuric acis and lead (II) acetate react to form solid lead (II) sulfate and a solution of acetic acid. If 10g of sulfuric acid and 10g of lead (II) acetate are mixed, calculate the number of grams of sulfuric acid, lead (II) acetate, lead (II) sulfate, and acetic acid present in the mixture after the reaction is complete.

Molarity, or number of moles? Because I have no F*CKING clue how to find the molarity, considering that they don't give you a volume.

Yeah that's fine and dandy, but it won't help me on the test. Thanks though.
What I did was this: Convert the reactants to moles to determine which is the limiting reactant. Then multiply the amount of moles of limiting reactant by the amount of moles of products. I think that's theoretical yield though, but that's the only way I could figure how to do it.

H2SO4 + Pb(OAc)2 --> PbSO4 + 2HOAc
10 g H2SO4 = 10g / 98.08g/mole =0.09176 moles H2SO4
10 g HOAc = 10g / 325.3g/mole = 0.02767 moles of Pb(OAc)2
After mixing-
0.02767 moles of PbSO4
0.05534 mole of HOAc
0.00000 mole of Pb(OAc)2
0.09176-0.02767= 0.06409 moles of H2SO4
0.06409 moles x 98.08 g/mole = 6.29 g H2SO4
I belie that would help

Ryan, i had 2 type´os, that formula is calculating 9.00 g of sulfuric acid and 9.00 g of lead(II) acetate, i put the 10g. so you can see where to replace your values, recalculate for 10g. see if it helps.
Regards.

watch that link look for problem 74. it will help you solving your problem better, since it will explain it to you step by step, but its using 7.5 grams, ok then GL.
Sorry for triple posting...
Regards.
