if your steam stops working dont uninstall steam uninstall xfire sometimes they conflict it happened to me. i couldnt play cs for like a week because of that p.o.s. progam and i uninstalled and deleted my steam folder still didnt work. then i read in some steam forum and it said xfire was the cause and i unistalled it and steam came right on. its a cool concept but i had bad luck with it.
