Post Re: A breif history of counter strike...
I started playing CS at a LAN center in Singapore. I think it was 1999 or so. My office was in Suntec City (office towers above a mall) I would go down to the mall at lunch to play. At home there was no cable yet...but I had adsl connection. Unreal was the game of choice at home. That's where I picked up my "dirtbag" tag. I moved back to the "States" the summer of 2004....and found n00bfest. I watched all the drama with some guy named Gman. Mr "T" made me feel at home. Milkman was a AFRICAN AMERICAN, and dirtymitch knifed everybody with his dial up lag. The switch to CZ really pissed me off. It killed my off the shelf pos PC. I upgraded but even though I played on line with a bunch of Asians for 6 years....I still sucked. That kid Gman came back and then all of the admins got "fired"...wow. I didn't talk much just watched all the drama. Then Corpsehumper asked Strange the guys he would recommend for admin. Strange gave him one name...."dirtbag". Still remember Corpse giving him shit for giving him only one name. So wham...just like that I'm a General.....and I still suck. But, it still gives him pleasure to kill u kids... Thanks Strange.

I played TFC when it was created for half life back in 98/99. I played in a TFC server that was located in Miami with a group of guys that started their own business and ran the server out of the warehouse. They called themselves hivenetwork. Come to find out later on that I played TFC with the founders of alienware. I was banned from that TFC server so many times. I am proud to say that I called the founders of alienware every name in the book. After TFC got boring I downloaded Counter Strike when it was in its infancy. It was beta 4 and it was so much fun. Everyone was playing cs_mansion, you never had to buy a gun because the guns stayed on the ground the entire map. I jumped from server to server but played mostly on a server in LSU called The Deep South and when that server was down I played in a set of Houston servers where I played with a clan called [CK3] which had ksharp and suicide in it almost 24/7. The Deep South was actually located in the LSU computer room and was ran at the time by the network administrator. After a few years of playing in that server it was shut down because more people were connecting to the CS server than the LSU web page which made them angry. If I do remember correctly The Deep South is where I first met Corpsehumper and the original founders of [WhtTrsh]. This was the first server and surprisingly not the last to give me admin. This was back in the day before admin mod. The only way to abuse people was to kick/ban but The Deep South was ran by a group of hilarious college kids who created a clan called [PaK] which stood for Players against Klans. They got their thrills by annoying people with clan tags and calling them every name in the book as well as thoroughly enjoying taking a 16 person server(which was a massive server back in the betas) and emptying it out of only 4 people by changing gravity to -1000 and then to 1000000 and watching everyone die round after round. I got my admin taken away multiple times for doing it for hours. After The Deep South we moved to Southern Alabama server and raided OfficerDoofy's life with chaos. There was many times all the locals on the Southern Alabama server would head over to LAN parties in Pensacola Florida and wreak havoc. There was once a LAN party that was hosted in the Korean Community Club in Pensacola Florida. It was the shittiest LAN ever because the entire row that the Southern Alabama folks had wouldn't even connect to the internet and the gooky mcjap mother F*CKER couldn't get it working. CorpseHumper signed the Community Club's guest book with something like "Fix your F*CKING internets you stupid gook slants" Here is Here is a webpage from 9 years ago I made for WhtTrsh https://clanwhttrsh.tripod.com. Can you believe Garret wasnt even alive when I was playing counter strike for the first time? Who would of thought

This is the longest, and most serious post I have ever seen kano write.

You're welcome Dirtbag budday! :D

So, yeah. I remember playing with CH and folks before I moved to AL....?

Anyway, my CS career started when a high school buddy introduced me to it (and Gman) with his home lan of windows ME computers. (LAWL).

Starsiege Tribes was my first game before that and I still miss that game. : (

Anyway, Then my adventures pretty much follow Gman's.

Good times.
