 uh oh...
(posted this hear because i am 100000000000000000% sure that no one will check the other thread)
ok so when i turn my computer on in the morning, it goes very slow. Slow as in, it is at the windows xp sign with the bars moving, which takes a good 7 min. to load. Once that is done, i log into my account. After a few minutes i receive an error code in blue screen saying DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. then it says stop: 0x000000D1 (0x000000010, 0x00000002,0x00000000, 0xf2b7adfa) after that line i says iastor.sys-address-f7b7 adfa base a f7b6 c000, datestamp 40608c73
i turn off my compt, and then start it up again, again watiing 7-8 min for xp to load, log in (the comp is very slow at the time). I receive these message errors saying windows has encourted a seriously problem and needs to close. I can't click onto any icons on my backround screen with an error message poping up, and when i debug the explorer restarts, and when i still can't press any incons on the screen. So then after 6 min, the blue sign comes again. So i turn off my comp (btw, i have to turn it off pressing the button, the comp doesn't restart or shut off by itself)
The third time i try to turn it on, it goes thru the xp loading thing, but then it does this file system check on the c:/ drive.
It gets thru step 1 out of 3, however on step 2 it would stay at 0%. I waited half an hour or so, however it didn't increase, so i shut off my comp again. When i turn it back on, i hit f8 and did start with the recent settings that worked. This didn't help because it still started to do the file system check, and would not go anywhere past 0%.
does anyone know how to fix this?
update:
i got past the file check, however now after the xp screen loads, the log in accounts don't appear

Your computer is broken. But if you would like you could try to just reinstall windows XP all over and just clear the harddrive completely thats what I had to do when my laptop started going really slow and that fixed it.

Definately caused by a defective power supply. You need to replace your power supply before you try anything else.
