This is a little contribution to the soldiers who gave their lives at Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked. I was hoping someone would post something like this, but apparently not.

At exactly 7:55 a.m. the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor with over 400 fighter planes. The two-hour aerial raid destroyed or heavily damaged 21 ships and 320 aircraft, killed 2,390 people and wounded 1,178 others.

We barely have any Veterans left from the attack. There dieing approximately three a day, which means were losing bits of history. A type of history that only the men/women that were their can tell. Its a peice of history that America is slowly forgetting, and I hope to God it will never be forgotten. For if we do forget, their sacrifices would be in vain.

So if you see anybody in your family or older friends thats been in WW2, please be sure to thank them for what they've done. It will mean alot to them to know that we remember and will never be forgotten. And folks, be sure to tell your kids about it, and there kids, and so on, so they will never forget.

My dad was worked on a merchant ship(1st Mate Engineer) in the North Atlantic evading U-Boats, then in North Africa, then Normandy during the invasion. My Father in Law was the cargo master(I think is what its called) on a British merchant ship. His ship got sunk, and was taken as a POW. Spent 3 years as a POW. Patton's 3rd Army liberated his camp, they were in the middle of a Rugby match when one of Patton's tanks rolled through the pitch.

it is pathetic that absolutly no one mentioned this in school, for us to commemorate those who lost their lives.
teachers are just not what they used to be...

Honestly though, if we commemorated EVERY Tragedy, school would be nothing but assemblies.


It's why we have Remembrance Day and you guys have Memorial Day and Veteran's Day.

You also forget, many soldiers were FORCED to die (do NOT make me break out into a speech about Passchendaele)

Pearl Harbor wasn't just a tragedy, but it brought America to war.

They did give their lives for their country that was their duty. It's a damn shame we couldn't see that coming. WWII was a big pile of shit and started because some F*CKIN' buttplug contracted the syph. For the Japanese to even THINK that attacking us would've made us crumble was stupid.

Silly asians and their sillyness. They sure did learn their lesson though. Twice. hehehehehe.
