Post Minecraft 1.2 Pre-release Server
There is a test server up for the 1.2 Pre-release. Before checking this out, you'll need to get the latest pre-release client. This can be found here: http://mojang.com

After you get that, you'll want to backup your current minecraft.jar file, should you decide to go back to 1.1 for something. For those that don't know, it's found in %appdata%\.minecraft\bin for Windows, ~/.minecraft/bin for Linux, ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin for Mac. Save the minecraft.jar file somewhere, and then replace it with the one you downloaded. Info for the test server is here: viewtopic.php?p=2908475#p2908475

EDIT: Also, everyone thank Gman for getting this set up. =)
