messed with many things, but all blocks are normal, melons pumpkins and bamboo are diff color, punching a block will spell [n00bfest] you will see the rest, oh and load the texture pack, then restart MC !

This updated with the Minecraft update to 1.1? Spawn eggs could screw it up depending on what all you did. I had to redo my texture pack as always.

Or, you could do like I do and just do it yourself, without an editor.

Files/Folders you will need (/ means folder):

• /achievement
• /armor
• /art
• /environment
• /font
• /gui
• /item
• /misc
• /mob
• /terrain
• /title
• pack.png
• pack.txt
• particles.png
• terrain.png

These files/folders can be found in minecraft.jar, which you can find by going to %appdata%\.minecraft\bin in Windows Explorer. I use 7-zip to open the file with the open archive option. After you do that, simply copy the files/folders where you want, preferably in a new folder. Here's a link so you know which files/folders are where and for what - http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Texture_Pack. Don't worry about it saying /title/bg, since you'll have that already with the title folder.

When you start rummaging through the files for your texture pack, pack.png is going to be the photo displayed in Minecraft when you select it, and pack.txt is going to be the description. The description needs to be just a few words per line or it messes up, if memory serves me right. Terrain.png is used for the look of your blocks when placed and the items.png in the gui folder is used for the look of items being held and in the inventory. Pretty self-explanatory, but I thought I'd mention these since they are the ones usually edited.

As for actually editing the pictures, MS Paint or whatever default paint program you have may not be ideal, seeing as some parts of the pictures are "clear". Some free options are Gimp and Paint.net, the latter being my preferred choice. Of course should you have Photoshop or something similar, that works too. When you finish your editing, select all of the files and folders while in the folder you placed them in and add them to a zip file. If you're using 7-zip, it should say add to "nameoffolder.zip", or something similar. The name of your zip file is the name that will show up for the texture pack when you save it in your texture pack folder.

In regards to the eggs, I'm not sure if or even how you could change the look of spawn eggs, seeing as those just came out. All I know is they use the regular egg texture, another texture I don't know the location of, and some hue/saturation switching in-game. If you don't plan on changing those don't worry about it, just make sure you have the files from an updated version of Minecraft and they should work correctly when you are done.

Guess that just about covers my spiel here. I do have a texture pack that is updated for Minecraft 1.1 if anyone is interested. The blur from the pumpkin being on your head is a very slim outline, glass uses the outer pixel of the ice blocks for its outline (no spec crap in the middle), and iron blocks have a similar look to the other metal blocks. I'm not sure why but the look of the iron block was changed a bit, and I'm not sure if it was just my file or if it was the case for everyone so, yeah.

If anyone wants a texture pack, I'd gladly see what I can do for you if you're too lazy to do it. =P

Oh, I just noticed after taking a closer look at the items.png file, there's a white egg near the bottom and right under that is some dark gray spots that have the general shape of the egg with pieces missing. I guess those are what you'd fiddle with to make the spawn eggs look somewhat different, but I still have no idea on the hue/saturation part.

EDIT: Could have something to do with the dyes.
