So, I've been trying to get some ink sacks so I could make black wool. The freaking critters that had the ink were at least 20 under the water, so I'd try to swim down kill one, come back up for air. That worked a couple of times, then I drowned, twice.

I found out that doors make automatic tunnels under the water, tried it. Worked great. I set down a door, had a place to go back to right after I got an ink sack to get air. Try it if you need some emergency air underneath the water. Main thing that sucks: Doors don't stack.

You know if you just disconnect and reconnect, your stamina meter will get reset.

Go to some deep water.



Go down to the bottom, set a door down.








As you can see, the more doors you put down, the longer your tunnel.


This gives you a place to go so you won't drown.


Another useful thing I found for this is getting clay. Set a door down near some clay, go mine some, go back to your little door area and get breath. This works even in the deepest of waters.
