Background Info: 37 yo Old Man. Yea, I still play games. Atari (the original) ruined me at a young age. Currently a Longbow Pilot for the Army although retiring soon. Been playing on the Noob server for about 3 months....or so I think (hence the old man reference). Been playing CS for about over 2 years now and still dig it. In game I'm usually fairly quiet without trash talking. Well...any military guy is fine with me (I've been in the Navy 9 years now). Add the [rct] tag to your name and play in the n00bfest servers so that everyone can get to know you a bit. There are votes that occur every once in a while (however, don't ask when the next vote is, there's no way to know, and asking will just get you flamed) to decide which [rct]s deserve to be accepted into the community. As long as you stay cool and play often on the servers, you should be fine (becoming a member has nothing to do with being good). Be patient...it might take a while to be accepted.
