I would think most people would know me by now. I've been playing in the server for a few years now. I've been playing CS since beta 3 way back in 1999 since Half-Life 1 in the days of the 56k connection; I think I finally got cable internet around beta 7 or something. Hence, why my spray says, "Owning N00bs like you since 1999." I have also played Day of Defeat since beta 1 for Half-Life 1. I should have an even lower Steam ID than 6 digits, but I remember when Steam first came out, it wasn't required. I thought it was gay and buggy, so I avoided downloading it until Valve made it mandatory. I have been in a few clans and have played competitively at a pretty high level. It's pretty insane playing amongst Cal-i players that all seem like they aimbot and holding your own. Luckily, there is this gun in CS called the AWP and I can AWP with the best of them. People like me are the reason AWPs are disabled in the server.

Most clans die off after while, which is one of the reasons why I like N00bfest, because it's so well established. Also, because it's not a bunch of uptight morons that trip balls just because you say, "AFRICAN AMERICAN" or "HOMOSEXUAL." I've been scrimming with you guys and I was asked to put up my application in the forum. I'm used to the old school way of doing things where if you are good and a clan likes you, they would invite you into the clan, rather than this applying, which is why I've never applied until now. I do also have pretty extensive admin experience. Back in the day when I was an admin, you actually had to know the console commands to use your admin, not this on-screen commands there is now.

I've been a gamer and been building my own computers for almost 15 years now. I play a pretty huge variety of games, but CS I've been playing the longest. I'm 25 years old (will be 26 in January) and in graduate school for psychology, so maybe I should grow up, but I don't see anything wrong with gaming. I am from Minnesota and also enjoy shooting real firearms in real life. I actually own an AK-47 and a H&K USP .45 Tactical in real life. One of these days I'll post some pics.

The reason you have received this message is because you have been accepted as a [rct] of n00bfest - this means that you are now a recruit for the [n00b] tag and all that comes with it.

There are, however, a couple of things that are required of you to get into n00bfest and receive the [n00b] tag.

• You will have to be active both in the game server and the forum. This means posting replies to threads you find interesting that will add to the conversation - it does not mean spam "lol," "haha," or many other one word responses simply to raise your post count.
  
• Read the rules and obey them. As a council, we check up on how the admins respond to you; if you get banned for something stupid like team killing or talking back to an admin, you will heavily reduce your chances of getting into n00bfest.
  
• Read the previous rule again, and understand that there is going to be some hazing. If you catch any shit from an admin, understand that it's not a personal vendetta against you; it's just our way of making sure that you can take a little bit of abuse and harassment without blowing up and acting like a douchebag. If you're not OK with that, then get in contact with myself or any other Council member and we can discuss it in further detail. If you feel an admin is out of line, send an email to elders(at)n00bfest.com and it will be addressed. Do NOT make a thread on the forum bitching out an admin or any other member. Such flagrant douchebaggery will not be tolerated and will likely result in a ban.
  
• Do not ask when your [rct] period will be over. That information is for us to know and you to find out -- if and when you're accepted into [n00b].
  
• Please respond to this message. We need to know that you actually got the message and that you understand what is required of you. Once you respond, you may wear the [rct] tag and take your first step into earning n00bdom.
