I know everyone is playing BF3, but due to a weak pc, I have not been in any hurry to buy the new game. I have thought about it several times and even went to Gamestop with the sole intent on buying BF3 and SC2, which I still dont have, but was talked out of it quickly by the kid working there. Now my pc does run BF2 quite well and I still play from time to time, but with the dying population, its really not worth much time unless you know a good server. I was told by players that if my pc runs BF2, it will run BF3, not as well, but enough to play.
So I guess what Im asking is this, Does anyone here still play BF2 and does anyone playing BF3 on the pc think a pc handling BF2 should handle the new one? Thanks in advance for any responses and I hope to learn alot. Jon

AFAIK nobody still plays BF2. As far as BF3, if you don't meet these, don't bother trying:

I believe I meet all those, but I know when I first got BF2, my old rig met the regs on the back of the package, but when I tried to play, forget it, I was better off saving everyone the headache, so not real sure. Im probably gonna go pick it up in the coming weeks and if it doesnt play well, Ill just save it for when my new rig is done. Yeah the geforce minimum specs are fucked. I was running 2x 9500's and it barely crawled with BF3. You'll need something beefy to get any enjoyment out of the game.

Just an update, bought and played BF3 last night. So sweet. It plays, but not the best graphix, but Im building a new tower as we speak, just on delay for xmas time. Thanks guys for all the good info and see you on there.
