Finally ripped out my piece of shit faulty (first gen) p67 chipset motherboard, I shipped it back to amazon and should be getting a full refund. I also bought an entirely new board that should be coming thursday, so expect to see me back on that night, assuming everything goes accordingly.
Actually on second thought, I'm terrible with electronics and it may take me a week to figure out how to plug everything in.

AFRICAN AMERICAN what are you going to school for?

Don't worry nobody will miss you!
Just kidding, hope everything goes well with the new board, they can be a bitch to get all plugged in with certain cases and stuff.

He's a mechanical engineer, so if he needed to figure out how to build a device to either destroy it or protect it, he'd be good to go.

This is about as close to right as you can get. I specialize in Heat and Mass transfer, so things like aerodynamics, fluid dynamics, and convection/radiation/conduction stuff. I can do things with structural dynamics/statics of rigid bodies, but I prefer doing stress analysis on the kinematics side of the MechE side. See any electronics in there? NEWP. I can program reasonably well in python/matlab, and I can do SolidWorks design. But anything relating to circuits/E&M that isn't wave based... NEWP.

Well goddamn. Heat and mass transfer is what I'm going to study in grad school!
I myself am down too; I'm waiting on another HD6970 to pop in since this one's dual-link DVI port is busted and I can only run 1280x800.
