something ive learned
Im agreeing with Omega... Hardcore > Normal mode. Headshots kill people and sniper rifles are actually effective. spotted people only light up on the minimap. wondering your guys opinion on it

Normal mode acts as a buffer, and helps keep the server relatively even. It makes it so one person can't easily decimate an entire other team. In hardcore, that's thrown out the window. I understand and sympathize with your complaint about people not dying, but I don't think having our server as a hardcore server would be the best option as of right now. EDIT: Just use the m249/scar. You'll kill them and make them feel bad about themselves, also the sv98 is a 1 hit kill in the head as well.

Re: something ive learned
I think i worded it a little bad. I wasnt asking to change the n00bfest server. I just wanted to what everyone else considered plus and minuses.

Re: something ive learned
I agree with das. My intent was never to change the n00bfest pub into a hardcore server, Im just frustrated with people being lit the F*CK up by me and not dying. I preferred hardcore in BC2 and I prefer it in BF3. Just my opinion. ♥

Re: something ive learned
I absolutely love hardcore compared to normal. If it were a vote I'd vote hardcore. I will join you kids for hardcore sessions whenever.

Re: something ive learned
Hardcore would be fun once I get a little better. I tried sniping and realizing that it can take 5+ shots with whatever rifle they give you to start and I thought that was shit.

Re: something ive learned
There's talk of opening up a second BF3 server soon. We may make it hardcore.

Re: something ive learned
If I'm ever in a real-life shootout with someone with automatic weapons, I know to jump repeatedly because their chance of getting a headshot is way less that way.

You should also watch out four ankle high rubble, it will be more impenetrable than the great wall of China.

You only got specific guns, got to choose between only a couple perks, couldnt tell how many people were left alive, no name tags, bullets wouldnt register unless you were using sights, and you could bleed out after being shot. Im sure there was more, its been so long since i played it. Probably made it one of the most realistic games
