I would have to say mine is aswome but was pricy when i got it I have a HP. dvd640 with litescribe. the litescribe is the coolest part of it burning pictures on to the top of cds is aswome.

i dont think it matters which one you get just somn name brand, high spd, and to install open your case put it in a rom/hd slot and make sure its set to "slave" which is default and plug the plug that was plugged into your old one the same way , when ur dont go to controll pannel and go to install new hardware and bingo

all dvd burners are pretty much the same, youre better off asking one of the best buy guys :roll:
