Post Clevo / Whitebook Laptops and iBuyPower
Does anyone have any experience with Clevo laptops, or whitebook laptops in general?

Does anyone have any experience with iBuyPower?

(Clevo is a whitebook laptop manufacturer that sells base laptop cases and parts to other companies who then rebrand them.)

I'm looking at the Clevo P150EM -- 17in, 3rd gen Core i7, 8GB RAM up to like 32. Dual SATA (one is usually optical), Switchable NVIDIA and Integrated graphics.

And I know iBuyPower has been mentioned a few times in threads, but I don't know if anyone has purchased from them.

Thanks doods.

My computer was made by Ibuypower and i bought it in 2008 (same as my brother) and it, for me, as worked great....I got a pretty good pc (for the time) and it was relatively cheap. Nothing has gone wrong with it, and the warranty is pretty good to. However, it takes a WHILE to get your PC like 4 and a half weeks. Other than that 8/10

Wish i could help you out more but all I know about I buypower is based on reviews from customers

I noticed however that about 20-30 percent of people complain in some way (keep in mind most of these complaints are user error and not hardware failure)

I looked at Ibuypower and Cyberpower.com; i think they are both hosted by the same people.
I just decided to build my own.
But from what i hear they are a pretty reputable source.
But Ive also heard what Luke said about shipping.

Falcodevil has bought from ibuypower before. I've played on his rig in the past and it's pretty sweet. Rarely have I heard from him about having issues with performance or reliability of his stuff. Can't remember off hand though if it was just his case or if he bought everything from there.

If i can get a hold of him i will direct him to this thread.

Yes i have used Ibuypower before. they shipped my motherboard as a dead motherboard and they have some pretty awful customer support for sure. as far as the price goes its pretty cheap for what you want to get out of the pc but they definitely cut costs in some places. if you want a budget PC is a pretty nice place to go if you dont want to build your own. if you want a Powerful PC you should look into companies like Falcon northwestern or Voodoo or even ASUS. ASUS has their own build your pc site thats really nice

Yeah, iBuyPower is pretty decent for the price, but you get what you pay for.
