For the past 2 and half years I've been running on a laptop. But after graduating and getting my career going I am finally going to do my first desktop build and rejoin the desktop pack. I'm going ridiculous and going with an SSD build along with a 3way sli to run surround vision as every game I play has decent support for the technolgy and every video I see of it being played it just rocks my socks.

Below is my build, I got a few core parts already that I aquired over the summer but now I am going to get the rest, what I want is just suggestions and comments (good and bad). I just want to see if I havn't left any holes. The only hole I see is possibly my RAM being to low and mis-color'd to the rest of shit in my build.

ASUS Made, nVidia GTX 560TI (3X) Upon talking to bleep I am going to go probably with a single 680 card
NZXT 800W Power supply (this is mainly to keep brands similar and to match the case exactly)
OCZ Vertex 120GV SSD
ASUS PCI 1x Wireless card (I would love to just a straight wired connection but the way my apartment is set up and the outlits and shit I just cannot stand to have a long wire-going)

On my previous desktop, I had two optical drives and I just liked having them and I do use optical media a bit so they're still necessary in my scenario.
DVD-R Drive
BD-R drive

The monitors I'll be getting to use:
ASUS 24" LED (3X)

Various accessories I will need
Razr Blackwidow ultimate backlit mechanical keyboard
Zalman thermal paste I fucked up the prepasted CPU but touching it wondering what the F*CK was the cool design on the face of the processor because my downs kicked in


What doe you think comrades

Looks like a solid build. Keep in mind that theose three cards are going to generate alot of heat so just be sure to use alot of cable tie downs and make sure your properly vented and have enough fans.

I would also get a different gpu setup, I would probably get 2 Higher end cards and not go 3 way sli.
also your psu is kind of on the low wattage for all your stuff I would invest in a 1000 watt or better

While that might be a good idea, it's best to probably run a surround set up with 3 cards to be the most efficient since technically each monitor will have their own dedicated GPU. The 560ti is the best bang for buck though yes the 570 is coming down close to the price at 314


According the a few wattage calcs I used I should be in the clear but I'll make sure to recalculate

just put together a build for one of my rl friends in that nzxt phantom.. nice case.. spring for the extra fans tho.

I'd tweak a few things if I were planning on spending that much. You have an alright build currently but there are things I'd change to really optimize your performance. I added you on steam so accept my friend request and we'll talk.
