Post The F*CK?!? [T-Mobile / tethering / smartphone]
So few weeks ago I got my little precious HTC Amaze 4G and the 5GB data plan from T-Mobile. I tired today to check the tethering feature. 5GB is too much for just browsing ghay pron at n00bfest and I could use 2-3 GBs to lighten AT&T 150GB cap (another retarded company).

Got phone connected to PC, got tethering working, got the connection, fired up the browser and... instead of bunch of black C*CK I saw T-Mobile upsell page for the tethering plan for only $14.99. The F*CK is wrong with them?!? They are asking me to pay additional fee so I can use phone I bought and the data transfer I'm already paying for?!?

I found this: http://technologizer.com/2011/05/02/fre ... -t-mobile/

And back to the topic: is there any way to bypass that retarded T-Mobile limitation (except paying $14.99)?

It's like buying a car, paying for the gas, and suddenly dealer asks you for additional fee so you can carry your groceries in the the trunk. The F*CK!?

I used to work for ATT so I dont know if it works for T-Mobile phones. It requires you to root your phone and download a 3rd party tethering app. It may have changed since I did it last but there are still apps you can find if you google tethering apps. It also depends if there is a root for your phone available yet.

If your phone is rooted you can do it, or at least try. Verizon got smart about it and as of now rooted tethering (3rd party hot-spot) apps no longer work. Could work for T-mobile.

Is it an Android phone I'm hoping/guessing?

Thanks guys. Yeap, it's Android, but I'm afraid of rooting it as I complete n00b with that. Will check the web and see what I can do.

EDIT: http://www.mobile-stream.com/easytether/android.html - no rooting required, free and works (so far). Enjoy! T-Mobile can kiss my ass now.
