For almost a week I was having a pretty bad problem with shots not seeming to hit. Then it donned on me a setting that I had turned on just prior to having the problems, raw mouse input and mouse acceleration. They worked alright on my laptop, then I finally got my new computer built and that was where I was having the problems. Once I turned both off, I saw immediate improvements. I really don't know what they do exactly, or how they interact with different components/the server. It could just be in my head, but there might be something to it if you're having a lot of shots that you swear should have hit miss.




-edit- Well, never mind. I still suck with anything other than single shot weapons.

Mouse acceleration is a no-no. As far as the raw mouse input, I am fairly certain that it's more dependent on the quality of your mouse's input.
