Hey, I've got another Minecraft problem, but I'm just wondering if I can solve it elsewhere than in Minecraft.

When I launch the game, and open up the Task Manager, Minecraft is completly on top of the list. It uses most of the time 900,000 ko, and sometimes even 1,000,000 ko. When I launch any other game (Halo, CSS, BFBC2), it only needs 100,000 ko or 200,000. Do you know why this is happening, and if I can limit Minecraft to use that much, or there is absolutely no problem in this...?

as faras I have been able to deduce through a couple minecraft forum readings, that's the normal amount of ram used at any given time. Some people reported up to 1.5 gigs being used at once, some report that their base level is 700, 000.

Oh don't worry Hooker, I perfectly know how hardcore this game can be. It looks like a 1995 game, but you actually need a pretty good computer to run it perfectly.

ANd thanks Snuggy, when I first had my black screen in Minecraft (now it's fine though), I had a hard time believing it could be normal for a game to use 1 gig of ram.
