I believe we have a case of PEBCAK with some scattered ID-10t errors.

But for reals, what the hell are you trying to do?

We need more info State.

1) sounds like you're on a win7 laptop? trying to connect to your home network via wireless? What's the specs on the laptop, specifically network card (if there is one)/usb dongle/etc, or if it's built in, which model laptop is it?
2) Do you administer your own wireless router?
3) Do you run a virus scanner regularly?
4) Do you have a bogon absorber (or cluon emitter) nearby? And if so, has the absorber/emitter been present while you attempt to duplicate the issue?

Are you masking your SSID in your post or are you trying to connect to an AP named ****?

And any idea why it says "hidden wireless network"? Like, does it not detect it and you are manually typing in the AP name?

I'm running Win 7 on my laptop with the worst wireless device in the history of the internet (Realtek 8185) and it's running like a champ. Also, Belkin N+ routers are the shit.

I've tested WEP and WPA on Windows 7 (Linksys WRT54GS, random no-name usb wireless adapters), and they are smooth as silk.

If you're still using WEP you deserve not not to connect

Lies. I setup laptops for a living and the wireless connection is a non broadcasting WEP. And the laptops all are win7

redo your connection, make sure it's set to open. Make sure it connects even if the network isn't broadcasting. And make sure u type the key in correctly and the index is set to 1. I think that's it

if not post a screen shot and I'll take a look

you clearly dont understand how dumb some of the ppl are who work here...

like today i had a nice little conversation with a professor that thinks his compter crashed because it wont turn on anymore. i had to explain to him that before bitching me out about bad equipment he should make sure the power strip he kicked is turned back on
