Tiki asking about overclocking
I was thinking of over clocking my AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core processor 6000+ but it seems risky and i know very vague about over clocking and the process. I don't even know how to open my BIOS. think it is a good idea to over clock? Could anyone who has over clocked explain the process to me some maybe _ thanks guys

Re: So
First, do you have the stock AMD heatsink and fan on your CPU?

Re: So
Find out what kind of cooling you're running and let me know, it could be a thermaltake or antec..pop the side off and see if the heatsink fan for you CPU says AMD on it. if so, I wouldnt go overclocking it.

Re: So
My a64 is running at 2.8 from 1.8 on stock heat sink and fan and has for over 4 years.Thats a over 50% oc on stock volts and will go higher. As long as you dont add volts the worst that can happen is failure to boot or crash.Amd's stock cooling solutions rival the best after market shit.True story brah. viewtopic.php?f=11&t=28830 read that.

Re: Tiki asking about overclocking
When you do try to OC your shit, don't jump too high at once. Depending on your CPU I wouldn't go higher than 1.5ghz above what it is now or over 3.5ghz max(Probably going to use this number since yours is probably above a 2.0ghz stock.)
