I think you need to upgrade the person that runs the computer first before updating the computer.

You should probably tell us what the problem is because both the gpu and monitor are good enough to do almost anything you would need. So unless you want to run Crysis on high in 1080p with 120hz you are fine.

Ok, well when I go into 1080p mode(1770xso
ething) it doesn't take up the whole screen, and it has terrible contrast. I can get it to take up the full screen, but it makes it look even worse.

That your monitor?

Maximum Resolution 1680 x 1050

Might be the problem.

If you like your monitor and want another one like it, but better and 1080 compatible get that one.

son of a bitch. that is my monitor. that is definitely not what newegg said when i bought it!! im 100% sure it said 20,000:1 contrast ratio, and hdcp capable (or something like that). i also thought it was supposed to be 20.1". goddamit. wtf happened

::EDIT:: plus, i dont have any attachment to this monitor, im gonna find one around $200, with the highest contrast ratio and 1920x w/e it is

A little more RAM won't hurt. 2GB is kinda low if you're running Vista.

I'd go with a monitor that supports 1900x1200 over 1900x1080. Mine is an Asus MK241H with 1900x1200 HDMI 1080p and all that and it's great.

Technically the resolution is "1200P"

oh and yes I beleve the 19X12>19X10
