Its pretty much the same as with CS:S.

Recording CoD4 Demos
Want to start recording and watch your own demos? Heres how, jump in your favorite server and bring down the console. type "/record mydemo" (you can name the demo what ever you want instead of "mydemo"), you will see a demo time line start in the lower left. Record for as long as you want even if the server changes maps. Once your finished recording type "/stoprecord" in the console.

To watch your demos your going to exit call of duty 4 multiplayer. Then open up your "C:.Program Files.ActivisionCall of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare.main.demos" all your recorded demos will be here by default. If you recorded the demos playing a mod they will be in "C:Program FilesActivisionCall of Duty 4 - Modern Warfaremods" open up the folder of the mod you played and there should be a demo folder in there.

Take your mydemo.dm_1 and put it in "C:.Program Files.Activision.Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare.players.demos". Now run Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer, bring down your console and type "/demo mydemo" and your demo should begin playing. Type /dissconnect to leave the demo.
