Post Sound Problem
I have somthing wrong with my sound for my computer. Today somthing was screwed up with my internets but i got that fixed. I go to get on vent and it says "Failed to open sound input device. Another program may have it open already". Then when i go to setup in vent i get "No mixers are available". When i try n listen to music on limewire or itunes it dosnt play because i guess its not detecting a sound device. Everything is plugged in and the only thing i havent tryed is a restart which im gonna go now. I also cant try a system restore because it wont go back to an earlier date. Im gonna go n restart now and ill be back if it fixes.

Edit: Yeah the restarting didnt help anything lol. Im thinkin about doing a factory restore or whatever its called that will take my comp back to the day when we bought it, but im not sure if that will help either. And im also pretty sure it shouldnt be my sound card either because i didnt do anything with my computer that would involve F*CKING up the insides or anything.

Power supply? It sounds like it could be a power distribution problem....

Just uninstall your sound card via device manager and reinstall the drivers...should work.

things needs to be checked
1. is your sound card on board or running on PCI
2. are u running on xp
3. if ur sound card is on board what type of motherboard do you have
4. do you have a driver cd for ur sound card
if thats all reinstall your drivers for sound it should work...
if thats still not working maybe you put it on mute Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_16
