i got this kick ass headset a while back and for like a week it worked grest but now to even hear it i have to put the thing on max and then u just hear it like a whisper even when i'm yelling at ppl

Even if it's on in game, it may not be on in windows control panel. Try and see, if it is on, your mic volume may be down. Some programs auto-adjust your mic volume.
