I have come to a conclusion. This conclusion is that CS Source is the F*CKING greatest game I have ever known. A downfall in all of this though is that the game engine itself is biased towards ATI users. Since HL2 and Source no longer support OpenGL alot of Nvidia users are left with there dicks in there hands BUT I have found a way to tweak the piss out of the game for higher fps.

Best resolution I have found so far for running Source without losing any of its glory is at 1152X864.

Let your settings run at all high, reflect all, AA 4X, AF8X, VS off.

In your console type in fps_max 999

You should see some increase in framerate.

Here are some pictures I took in game when I was tweaking shit out. It might help some. Some it may not help at all. BUT its worth a try. Also for all the lazy asses out there I have found a buy script for Source. This buy script also works for 1.6, and CZ. You choose which ones you want installed. Its a one click easy EXE. and its all done. Painless and fabulous.

thanks for the tip. I got source, but I dont like it too much. The weapons are way too powerful now, almost no recoil. The graphics are great but there are only 2 player models (you dont choose a "skin" when you come in, which sucks) and they are hunched, I MEAN WTF. WHY ARE THEY HUNCHED!

Im sure by the release of HL2 they will upgrade player models, some new maps, and tweak some more settings. This game was kind of thrown out to the market as a finished product without ALL of the goodies to get something out to the people that have been waiting for HL2. When this court shit gets settled between Vivendi and Valve it will be on.
