K i had to do a system restore when a c++ program of mine clashed with somthing on my computer. I did the restore but all of my files stayed on. Now my registry is totally screwed up and i cant go in and delete up the games and files to reload them. how can i fix the registry

If you managed to F*CK up the registry, just reformat the computer, it's much less painful that way. What the F*CK were you trying to program that corrupted the registry?

My stupid teacher gave me a pireted verson of vb.net 2003 from the school that had a security still on it. The security file pretty much sent me to the microsoft web pag every time i loged on to the internet and locked my internet there.

Just take it to the school's tech support office and let them deal with it.

Chances are, you're not gonna be able to fix it. I assumed you did this by yourself, not trigger a Microsoft self destruct program.

yea im better off just taking it to geek squad or somthing for my school really doesnt have a tech support. They just call up my tech teacher and some others to fix the comps.

geek squad is gonna run you like $150 or more depending on how much time they take to fix it. you can try running a registry cleaning program like RegCure or something and you might get lucky.
