Well, to be honest vista does fine with me, my rig at work runs with vista basic and I have not complained. I think its an OK os but definitely not perfect, yet. I certainly would not buy anything from one of them "build your own" pc's from ibuypower/cyberpowerpc(had bad experiences with them). Alienwares are too overpriced. The point is I just want a notebook that I can travel with that can do pretty much anything with a very reasonable price.
So far this laptop is my best bet.
Any recommendations/suggestions are accepted.

I don't give a shit about Vista.
I've just never run in to a laptop worth more than a penny.

It's not that I prefer desktops, it's just that I want a laptop that replaces my desktop and isn't a huge, loud piece of shit that produces a lot of ball melting heat.
I don't want a small, quiet laptop to carry around for trolling Wikipedia at coffee shops and a desktop to sit at home for everything else. I want the laptop to be able to do it all without drawing attention to myself if I'm playing CS:S in public.
Until then, I'm going to keep my desktop and if I need to use it while I'm out, I'll come home.

That's the thing though, you're not gonna find a laptop that replaces a desktop that isn't a big and doesn't produce a lot of heat. The parts are just too close together in a laptop.
Oh, and Turk, I thought it was a nice deal, it's 500 less than mine and you got a better video card out of it :)
