Thought I'd post a little of my findings on the gun speed changes we all noticed after last night's patch.

So, basically this equals out to "YOUR GUNS WILL SHOOT FASTAR LOL"

Cycle times for each of the guns:
Quote:
SMGs
MAC-10: 0.075
MP5: 0.08
KM UMP45: 0.105
TMP: 0.07
C90: 0.07

Rifles
AK47: 0.1
Galil: 0.09
552: 0.09
D3/AU-1: 0.25
Scout: 1.25
AWP: 1.455
550: 0.25
Bullpup: 0.09
M4A1: 0.09
Famas: 0.09

Shotguns
M3: 0.88
XM1014: 0.25

Machineguns
M249: 0.08

yah, AK and M4 unsilenced are both fucked. Toss the silencer on the M4 and it's just fine.

Valve is getting jealous of the mod that defined their engine. Maybe they are feeling down that their newer products are nowhere near as legendary as CS. This could be the infernal scheme of the baboons in charge to get people to lose interest in CS so that they will start playing other games.

Yeah and their magically going to go to other Valve games, right, that ain't going to help their cause much. They just have a dream of "modernizing" the game and well...they suck at it along with trying to modernize the CS crowd is like Luff trying to lose weight while working out with doughnuts in his mouth.

what do these cycle times mean? i assue thought it meant that, for the UMP-45 as an example, it would shoot 1 bullet every 0.105 seconds. but isnt the UMP-45 the slowest of the sub-machine guns?? or at least slower than some of them??

omg, im an idiot. i was thinking that the higher the # the faster the gun. im slow, got it now. it seems to be pretty accurate to real life. i wonder how well these RoF work in-game.

The AK sounds better, however the recoil on it totally sucks balls.
The M4, dont even get me started it used to be my favorite weapon...now I'd rather use an MP5.
The para, lol wtf rly?
Now that I'm thinking about it, the only time I play CS now is when I want to associate with all of you. That's it

Valve/hidden path studio have by far the worst way of prioritizing what to update next. I still wonder what the hell they were doing during the two week span between the orange box update and the first patch. And now rather than testing their updates prior they mass them out 2 or 3 a day. I'm sure most of you would rather have 1 a week that doesn't have to have 3 more updates to fix it. They took out minmodels, broke unicode, put out a glitched clan tag system, probably fucked up on the sound thing, took out 100 tic only to comeback and change the RoF on every gun which later backfired when some guns started shooting twice, and dont forget about the lighting problems. All i have left to say is when can we expect to see riot shields make a come back.

Yeah I didn't think the reverb/echo was going to be that bad until I heard it. Once my most beloved weapon, it now makes me think twice every time I have one in my hands.
