Can an admin over the [rct] steam group please add me? From what I read you have to be part of the steam group to be able to use the clan tag in-game. The [rct] group is invite only. Thanks

just type cl_clantag "[rct]" in console

the [ rct ] clan tag is something a few of us are testing, it may not even be worth anyone's time to test further till we decide if we want to use that system. you'll always be safe just using [rct] in your in-game name.

yup in-game there's now a column dedicated for a player's clan tag. if you're n00b you can join the n00bfest group, and then select the n00b tag to display in that column next to your name by going to options > multiplayer > advanced


we're looking at having rct's join a special "n00bfest rct" group and then displaying the rct tag in that column.

o sweet. sort of like how battlefield has had it since at least bf2, maybe 1942 except without the required joining of groups. so, if i join the n00bfest group and use that clan tag thing i wont need to have it in my name??

correct. that's how quite a few of us are doing it at this point at least.

Is there a way to keep our tag on our steam account without the double [n00b][n00b] in game! I did the options/multi/advanced thing i got [n00b][n00b]Mayhem,so i deleted [n00b] from my steam name and now its back to normal but without the clan tag!

Well in game you will have the n00b tag beside your name but your steam community name won't have n00b on it. Of course this might cause a problem for you guys not knowing who is in n00b and who is a recruit and stuff unless there is some master list I can't see and so I'm making a mute point. All in all Mayhem, you don't need the [n00b] tag in your community name but you can have the clan tag once you join the n00b group and it will show up in every server.

Personally I like this and of course wearing my [ rct ] tag strong :D

yeah... is only mani plug-in could handle the clan tags as a player name. "ma_slap rct" is not fun anymore

I don't like the new clan tag system personally. They are fine for subclans but the [n00b] tag should be in your name imo.
