Post Re: WAR GAMES TOURNAMENT
Story Name: The Embargo
Written by: acid_rain

Date: May 5, 2003
Time: 0900 hours
Place: Havana, Cuba
Prologue: Cuba, knowingly, has been trafficking weapons into the south regions of Miami, Florida and Key West, Florida. The Embargo Act of 1962 against Cuba has restricted any
businesses to have any relations with Cuba in regards to the transport of such goods into the United States. The corporation called Orangebox Weaponry has been dealing with a Cuban
terrorist organization called "Cartel de Armamento" to purchase cheaper parts for distribution of weaponry within the state of Florida. The Orangebox corporation specializes in
bio-weaponry and is one of the leaading corporations of technology advancements for bio-conservation. The Orangebox corporation is possibly aiding in the destruction of the population
of Florida in order to sell reproduced organs and products at extremely high costs to help keep victims alive and paying. In the meantime, Cartel del Armamento's leader named Alberto Lopez
has sent spies into the Orangebox corporation to assassinate the President of the company in order to take over the entire business as an act of greed, power, and profit.
These spies have been in the company for years and have made their ways to some of the highest positions possible in the corporation, making it easy for a smooth transition for a
new "leader". The FBI and CIA have been working together on a case against Cuba to shut down the terrorist organization while in the acts of doing business with the Orangebox corporation,
and the President named Leon Vasquez. The CIA have sent a squad of ten members out to disperse the cartel, and rid the issues altogether. The case manager at CIA headquarters named
Jason Wotenbury has deducted that it would be a more sufficient act to infiltrate the headquarters of the cartel first, than shut down the corporation, since it may sound off an
alarm for the cartel. After infiltration, many employees, including the President and high-ranking members of Orangebox will be removed from the Orangebox corporation, and
the business will be... out of business. It appears, however, that someone may have tipped Alberto on a possible infiltration, so he may have taken some precautionary measures
to keep business going as usual.

The story:
-----------

"Are they ready yet?" asked Gonzo.
"No sir," replied a loyal worker, "but it should be ready by tomorrow.
Gonzo pulls out his pistol and shoots the worker in the leg. A giant scream echos throughout the warehouse, but all the other workers continue to work as if their lives depend on it.
"This stuff better be ready or your culo is mine, si?" said Gonzo.
"Ye- yes- yes sir, we'll ha- have it re- ready by then si- sir." says the severely-pained worker.
"You must understand that I will not have failure ruin my day, and if the boss gets word that this mierda hasn't been shipped... it's your culo, not mine." said Gonzo.

Twenty-two hours later:

"The plane is here, sir." says the worker. "It's waiting on your approval to move out."
"Your objective, Juan, is to make sure this shipment gets to its destination. If you come across any barricades, kill them and dispose of their bodies. Once you've gotten the shipment to
the corporation, we'll be there to back you up tomorrow at 5:30 PM to get the hostages secured in order to change the management over. We'll have more than enough firepower to take care
of anyone trying to cause issues. This should be more smooth than butter, and once we've taken the President of the corporation as hostage, there will be no way out other than to hand it
over to the boss." said Gonzo.

"Si, yo entiendo." said Juan. "We won't fail you this time."
"Keep that leg wrapped up, Juan." said Gonzo as his voice fades halfway through the sentence. He walked out to his ride waiting just a few feet away. "It's on you." he said as he ducks his
head underneath the top of the door of his ride.

Six hours later:

A reggaeton ringtone is playing loudly in the pocket of Gonzo. "Que to quiero?"
"Sir, the shipment is on its way to the corporation, we're ready to go." a voice echoes through the earpiece.
"There's been a change of plans," said Gonzo with no feeling. "I'll be there in three hours to proceed with our plans.
I want you to secure the perimeter around the area now, and get everyone out of our way. Once we arrive, stay in the middle courtyard and survey the area until new orders arrive."
Gonzo hangs the phone up before Juan can say a word. He knows there's no way this will fail. Nobody is expecting anything."

Two hours later:

"Mr. Vasquez! Mr. Vasquez! It's here!" a voice yells across the office.
"Put it inside the warehouse, pay them, and make sure we see them back on the plane safely." said Vasquez. He walks outside with two escorts dressed in black suits and gets
inside his Limousine parked just outside the office.
"To the warehouse, driver."
The Limo moves out swiftly. It's a cold day, and it feels like it going to snow. The air tastes bitter, full of pollution, money, and collections. He spreads his arms out on
the seat of the Limo and decides to raise the window.

The Limo stops just outside the warehouse, and the door opens. Vasquez gets out in time to watch the driver heading back into the front driver seat ready to leave. He makes
his way to the door and two black utility vehicles screech and halt him in his tracks. The door opens on each vehicle almost simultaneously, and the two escorts come out in a hurry to bodyguard him.
"It's okay boys, nothing to worry about!" Vasquez says with a small grin and a chuckle.
"Sir, we're just making sure everything is safe and secure." says one of the bodyguards.
"Heh, you'd figure that after two-and-a-half years of steady business I wouldn't need you guys! Come on then, let's make this quick. Afterwards, take a vacation." Vasquez says promptly.
"Our pleasure, sir!" says the other bodyguard who has remained quiet as he's straightening out his suit and tie. He pulls his pistol out, locks and loads and the three proceed into the warehouse.

As they walk in, they notice no one but Juan standing next to four crates, though they have no clue who he actually is. Lopez has always been really random with sending people to meet Vasquez, so
he doesn't worry about the fact an unidentified man is standing in the middle of the warehouse. He is puzzled, however, that the four men who should be relocating the crates to a secure area are
not there. He stops about ten feet from the door and yells over to Juan.

"Where's Ralph? Mike? Where's Harold and the new guy?"
"we've asked them to leave for the time being. I needed to speak with you regarding an issue we're having back home." Juan shouts back over to Vasquez.
"Surely, it can't be that serious... we've been doing business for almost three years now, you know you can trust my men." exclaims Vasquez.
"Tell Lopez I'm not having this shit happen any-" Before Vasquez can finish, Juan interrupts.
"Oh, but it is. You see, the boss has sent me here to negotiate with you."Juan moves closer, and the bodyguards draw their pistols. Juan raises his hands in compliance, and slowly moves one hand down
to open his vest to show he has no arms. The bodyguards insist on targeting Juan anyway. Something has seemed wrong since they've walked in. Vasquez and the bodyguards can feel the beginning of tension arising.
"What? Negotiate? Negotiate what? What! What's this all about? Lopez knows we're in agreement for no negotiation unti seven months from now!" cried Vazquez.
"I can negotiate a bullet in his face, sir, if you want?" says the bodyguard behind Vasquez on the left.
"No, that won't be necessary right now, Haynes." whispers Vasquez. "I want to see what Lopez is trying to negotiate here."
Juan proceeds. "You see, Senior Lopez has had enough of your poor attitude and cheap payments, and he's told me to send a message to you. Your time has come to negotiate with us a new plan that will go into
action immediately." says Juan with a straight face. "Okay, okay, tell Lopez I'll send'em another three-point two mill and we're back on schedule. I don't want to negotiate anymore about this bullshit." yells
Vasquez as he turns towards the door to open it and exit. His bodyguards holster their weapons inside their suits as they begin to follow Vasquez out. Juan yells just before the door is opened.
"No sir, you see... the negotiation is not for your money. It's for your job." Juan says with a straight face.
"What did you say, you son-of-a-bitch?" says Vasquez, lifting his head up, and C*CK to the side as if he didn't hear Juan. Vasquez nods his head belittling Juan's inferior power.
"The day you get my job is the day hell freezes over, haha!" Vasquez says jokingly, and begins to walk out. He opens the door.

"WHAM!" Vasquez falls to the floor guarding the right side of his face as he falls awkwardly to the ground, twisting his ankle, and slamming his knee on the hard floor of the warehouse. The guards attempt
to unholster their weapons and kill Juan and whoever is outside of the door.

Two shots echo through the warehouse.
The guards fall to the ground, one wounded severely and the other dead. Vasquez cries in pain and tries to scrawl his way to a safe area, but is greeted by what appears to be a Limousine driver and a glock.
"You! You mother- Ahhh!" He cries from the sharp pain in his knee, clutching it as he makes it into the corner of the warehouse. With the gun pointed at his head, the driver grabs Vasquez by the arm without
care of his wounds and begins to drag him towards Juan.
"What the F*CK is going on here? You know my guys are already on their way here! You won't get away with this shit you fucks!" The driver has pulled Vasquez all the way next to Juan. Vasquez's pants are
filthy with dirt from sliding on the floor as he was pulled to Juan without being able to stand. The driver lets Vasquez's arm go and begins to point the glock at Vasquez's face.
"What are you going to do... kill me?" Vasquez yells at the driver, now obviously appearing to be a member of Juan's forces.
Juan leans down and stares at the ground for a moment. He pats Vasquez roughly on the shoulder and looks him in the eye.
"No." He hesitates. "We've got better plans for you." His phone rings. Juan stands up, detaches his phone from his hip-belt, and answers.
"Yes sir! All done. Si..." there's a brief pause, and a couple moments later Juan begins to grin. He hangs up the phone and leans down to Vasquez.
"Oh... the current temperature in hell is negative fifteen, and let's just say that your 'new guy'
quit the job." Juan laughs loudly, and the echoes pierce the entire area as the sound of his chuckle bounce off the walls of the warehouse.

Four Hours Later:

Location: CIA-HQ

Agent Phil Myers is running frantically up the stairs to let Wotenbury know that their "mole" inside the Orangebox Corporation may be busted. Wotenbury is just dabbing his pen on a blank sheet of paper, and
peering at the phone from time to time. He opens the door to Wotenbury's office panting, trying to catch his breath.
"Well, spit it out Agent Myers!" Wotenbury yells, as if Agent Myers has interrupted the first meal he's had in a year.
"Si.. sir, I think our mole on the cartel... case... is M.I.A." Myers says, still lightly panting from the four-hundred steps he covered just to get to the office. "He hasn't reported back in hours!"
"Alright! That does it! I want SEAL TEAM 6 on this case. We're going in, and we're taking Lopez and this whole F*CKING cartel down! Myers, make the call, get the orders for ST-6 to drop in Havana
by plane and have them briefed while en-route. I don't want to waste a second of time with my guy in there getting his ass gutted by those banana-boating F*CKERS! We've kept our eye on them long
enough, and I think it's time we ended this before things get way out of hand, even though it appears we may have missed the deadline on that."
"I'm on it sir." said Myers.
Myers begins to head out of the office when Wotenbury stops him.
"Oh, and I want a direct line of communication once they put boots on sand!"
"Yes sir! I'll make it happen." Myers confirms as he heads out of the office.

Five hours later:

Location: In a plane headed to Havana, Cuba.
ETA to LZ: 5 minutes.

"Alright Seal Team 6, this is it! Get your gear and get ready to drop like a nuclear ass-whoopin!" shouted Captain Belton. All of Seal Team 6 stand up and hook up their parachutes.
"Here's the sit-rep. Lopez is running a cartel with none-other than our own Orangebox Corporation. The CIA have been investigating them for the past year-and-a-half. Earlier today, one of their agents who were
working under-cover didn't report, and they have reason to believe he may have been kidnapped... or even worse." We've had the CIA inform us that there's a possibility of hostages. Our job is to get in there,
get those hostages, and take Lopez down. Once you've landed, the entire team needs to make their way out into the street right next to Lopez' headquarters. Stay well-hidden. We've been tipped that there's forces
inside the building watching the hostages, and we would assume scouring the outside of the building. Get in there, get the hostages, take Lopez down! We'll worry about dealing with the Orangebox Corporation
once we get back home."

The cargo doors on the plane begin to open and Seal Team 6 stand up, ready to jump.
"Good luck out there Seal Team 6, and God-speed! MOVE OUT!"
Seal Team 6 jumps from the plane one at a time, completely synchronized. It's obvious this isn't their first rodeo, and their technique is well-enough known that they are a force that cannot be touched.
As they approach the LZ, blue parachutes open up one-by-one in perfect harmony, ripping through the warm tropical breeze, ready to be removed from the killing machines they are attached to.
