Starting a week or so ago, we made it mandatory for people scrimming to use X-Ray Anti Cheat (XAC). It runs on your computer, in the background, and while you play CSS, it takes screenshots of your client. It also scans your running processes for known cheats. After you play, you have the option to upload the screenshots to the XAC website, which, after some processing appears on your public profile. How to install:
You should see this: Attachment: xac2.PNG When you're done playing, it will give you the option to upload the screenshots -- upload them. You should see this: Attachment: xac1.PNG If your upload was successful, your "Missing Screenshots" line should say "None", like this: Attachment: xac4.PNG In an hour or so, your screenshots will show up on your profile. Here's mine for reference. If it says something other than "None" or has some number, then try to upload again later in an hour or so, the servers are too busy to accept your screenshots at this second. Who is supposed to use this? This is mandatory for any player who wishes to scrim on our servers, n00b or rct. It is suggested that subclans also use this program when scrimming on non-n00b servers, but at this point, is left up to them. Why we choose to do this: No one like cheaters. We also don't like reviewing hours of demos only to come up with "inconclusive" or "not-cheating" results. This ensures fair play on our scrim servers and lessens the load for everyone. With XAC you can be more confident your opponents are not cheating and, if you're so good you are often accused of cheating, you can simply direct people to your XAC profile page that has all of your screenshots. If someone reports you, we'll check the logs and verify that you were scrimming and that you don't have screenshots, you will be banned. First time it happens the ban is for a week -- after that, its up to our discretion. |

I used it for the first time the other night scrimming and it's not hard at all to use nor did it lag anything so I don't see anyone should have a problem with it but Luff since his computer is shit. |

I think it's a good idea to have it on the pub as well, but I guess it's not as easy as the punkbuster auto-install that some other games use. |

yeah, I think you're supposed to sign up under the "[n00b]" clan tag, even if you're an RCT. Also, dseli: it does NOT lag the computer or the game, and there is no way in hell scrims will lead to "hours" of screenshots being uploaded, you might get like 1-3 screenshots per scrim. |

I'm gonna assume my n00b overlords know what they're doing and not making me download some credit card stealing program that doubles as an anti cheat :P and even though I HATE installing ANYTHING on my computer I think its worth the sacrifice so anyone that complains, don't scrim (sorry Luff :P) |
