So the latest update fucked up the server again. With manimod installed, any time a person with a unicode character in their name is "given" an item (e.g. spawns with the bomb), the server panics and crashes. As many of you have noticed (the server restarting constantly over the last two hours), I'm working on a fix. I'm about ready to give up, though, as the past two F*CKING hours have been entirely fruitless. Fomenta is out of town with limited/no access to the server at this time, too, so he's unable to work on it at the moment. F*CK valve, G Edit: After 2+ hours, it's now up and working. Also, F*CK valve. |

exactly, why don't they test stuff. in the real world things are tested on people way before they even are sent on the market, couldn't they do a few beta servers with their staff and go from there... GG Valve, GG! |

GG Valve, GG! It looks like it's a valve + mani problem. Valve doens't have a responsibility to test their updates against all mods. It would be nice, but to do full testing against all mods would cost too much. |

and this being one of the reasons why im staying away from the servers. so much about what they updated screws with one thing or another, messes something up, or gives poor performance. i throw dicksnickers at the window of valve. thnx for breaking an otherwise good game. |
